Having clean clothes is a feeling like no other. When we wash our clothes we are removing dirt, oils, sweat and other elements that have collected on us throughout the day. On average, you should wash your clothes on a regular schedule. The last thing you want to do is wear out your washer and dryer parts.
Jeans are a unique item. Some say that you shouldn’t wash your jeans but rather put them into the freezer. I am not sure I agree with this but if they have grass stains and dirt, I say throw them in the wash.
I wear the same shirt a few days in a row. Well, I am lazy as well, but if you don’t sweat or get your shirts dirty through typical wearing then they will stay clean for a day or so. When washing shirts however, you want to turn them inside out. This will help keep the front of the shirt from wearing out and if you have a pattern, picture or other graphic it will keep it from fading.
Wash your socks. Wearing a pair of socks for more than a day is just wrong. When washing socks you may want to consider purchasing a washing net bag to put all of your socks in. I am not sure what happens but every time you wash your socks one or more escape into some alternate dimension somewhere. Keeping them in this netting will prevent them from escaping into the sock universe and since the bag has holes, they will be clean as if washed separately.
You want to wash the sheets on your bed every week. If you spill something on your sheets or otherwise get them dirty it is a good idea to wash them immediately.
